I remember awhile back seeing a picture where a cat was looking into the water, at his reflection, and he saw a lion looking back at him. And I remember asking myself, "what do I see when I see my reflection? Do I see a confident individual?"
Maybe you remember a time in your life when you weren't so confident about yourself or your abilities. How did you handle it? At some point, many of us have experienced this. And as a parent, I think it's even more difficult to know how to handle our teen's lack of confidence. How do we, as parents, build a strong sense of confidence so that our kids don't miss out on opportunities? How do we help our kids change what they see in the mirror and become more comfortable and confident in their own skin?
I'll be answering these questions and more in my discussion with Luke Dunnuck, long time coach and activist, who also happens to have 7 children of his own! Listen as he shares some interesting stories in part 1 of my podcast on Developing Confidence.
