The Power Of Sleep (Part 1)

Parents, are you sending your teen to school legally drunk?  Don't be too quick to answer because you may be surprised!  

Kids naturally want to stay up late.  Their need to be entertained, whether by the X Box, YouTube, Instagram or Snapchat, far outweighs their understanding of the need for sleep.  However, getting less than 6 hours of sleep can affect them on multiple levels!

So, in our fast-paced, over-stimulated world, how can we help our teens understand the importance of sleep and provide them with a way to unwind in the evening?  Believe it or not, there's an app for that!  Ironically, even though technology plays a huge part in keeping us up until all hours of the night, it can also help us when we need answers on how to wind down.

In part of one of this two-part podcast, Alex Wanee, a health and performance coach, who also works with pit crews on the racing scene, talks with me about ways you can help your teen become more efficient and organized and the importance sleep plays in all of that.
